Sad news

The Committee and the members of the International Society for Cultural History are sad to announce the death of Gabriella Valera Gruber, one of its founding members, who passed away on 1 February 2021 at the age of 74. Gabriella was a scholar in the history of historiography with a special interest in theory who had actively participated into the life of the Society and all its conferences, and successfully organized the 2016 one in Trieste on the subject of Gender and Generations. Despite a long battle with an incurable disease, she was also a tireless promoter of regular international initiatives in support of and about poetry, youth culture and the culture of dialogue and solidarity. She is survived by her devoted husband and life companion Ottavio.
